SYNOPSIS
The MIRACLE OF WÖRGL is the true story of a mayor in Tyrol during the 1930s, Michael Unterguggenberger, who responded to the worldwide economic crisis with a daring experiment.
Inspired by the Wära in Bavaria, an alternative currency, he simply started printing his own money in an attempt to resolve the deficit in the town’s budget and stimulate
the stagnant local economy.
