After the traumatic birth of her first child, JULIA is convinced that something is wrong with her baby. Even as her family and the doctors assure her that everything is fine and she should simply be happy, she can’t shake the feeling that this new presence in her home is something alien…

Johanna Moder studied directing at the Vienna Film Academy. During her studies she worked as an assistant director and script on various feature films and documentaries (e.g. with Michael Glawogger, Barbara Albert, Helmut Köpping and Jörg Kalt). For her short feature film ‘Her mit dem schönen Leben’ she was awarded, among others, the Thomas Pluch Screenplay Promotion Prize 2006 and the Feature Film Prize of the International Film Festival of the Vienna Film Academy 2007. Her graduation film ‘High Performance’ premiered at the Max Ophüls Festival 2014 and received the Audience Award. Participation in the Berlinale Talent Campus and the bmukk’s female artist mentoring program, member of various juries. 2016 to 2018 board member of the Verband Filmregie Österreich.
