Sebastian Meise is an Austrian director and screenwriter. His acclaimed debut feature film STILL LIFE premiered at San Sebastian IFF and won numerous awards including Best Feature Film at the Diagonale Film Festival. His documentary film OUTING was presented at the Hot Docs Festival in Toronto.
His latest feature film, GREAT FREEDOM, has won many awards including the Prix du Jury in the Un Certain Regard Section of Cannes Film Festival 2021 and was shortlisted for the Academy Award for Best International Feature.
He co-founded the Vienna based production company FreibeuterFilm.
