JOY won the Grand Jury Award at the Les Arcs Film Festival in France! Congratulations!

We are very pleased about the ongoing international recognition for Sudabeh Mortezai’s JOY. JOY took the top prize of the Marrakech International Film Festival, the Etoiled’Or, convincing the jury members James Gray, Lynne Ramsay, Daniel Brühl, Laurent Cantet, Michel Franco, Dakota Fanning, Joana Hadjithomas, Ileana D’Cruz and TalaHadidd. “Joy Anwulika Alphonsus carries the film through her captivating, open, honest, intelligent and authentic performance. A masterful interpretation of an indomitable drama.” concluded the jury. Joy Alphonsus won the award for the Best Actress at this year’s  Sevilla International Film Festival.

THE MIRACLE OF WÖRGL is going to have its ORF premiere on Saturday, Dec. 8th, at 8:15 PM, ORF 2. The historical TV feature was directed Urs Egger. Thomas Reider wrote the script. THE MIRACLE OF WÖRGL was produced by epo-film in co-production with Film-Line and FreibeuterFilm, with the ORF, BR, ARTE, SRF Schweiz and Rai Südtirol.
